...you eat, you become fat!

So in all the time I've been on dA, I've never written a journal. 1) Because I couldn't be arsed. 2) Most of my time was spent running GFXBB and my little life outside of there meant I really had nothing to say here. Anyway, I'm (5-10%) back.

"So what's been going on then, irn?" - I hear you ask. In terms of life? Lots. In terms of graphics? Nowt. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. Zero. Why? Again, because I couldn't be arsed with it. I spent so much time with the admin side of GFXBB that I had no real time to spend on my creations. It slowly made me, dare I say 'hate' gfx and I shunned the creative opportunities I had after leaving the forum. That, coupled with a fried computer meant that even if I did have time for some designs (which I sort of do now) I had no tools for the job. Kinda like training for a marathon but having no race to run. I've lost all touch with Photoshop, etc and the thought of Cinema 4D scares me and I'm sure that once everything gets re-installed, I'll be asking, "How do you do this again?" It may take a lot of time to get back into it so I'll see how it goes. I certainly know I've not lost my creative edge as lack of gfx lead to my love of song writing (again). I'm currently having fun with my new band, so all is good.

Apart from informing those who know/follow me of my time away, I want to thank everyone for the comments and notes I received. I'm really sorry that I was away and that I couldn't reply. There were well over 300 deviations, messages, etc so I'll try my best to get back to you asap. I had a quick look through some of the new work that people had made and I was quite impressed. Good work everyone!

So, I'm gonna leave it for now and get back to varnishing the floor boards. Hey, at least I get some sort of brush in my hand, right?!
